What is changing underneath?

Open interest tells you what is outstanding. Buildup combines changes in option price and open interest to classify activity on each call and put side. These are inferred patterns, not confirmed trader intentions.

Understand the read.

Sensex options use BSE's contract calendar. The timestamp above always refers to the source snapshot.

What does today's SENSEX PCR tell me?

The open-interest put-call ratio divides outstanding put contracts by call contracts. Above 1 means more put open interest; below 1 means more call open interest. It does not identify who bought or sold those contracts and is not a direction signal by itself. Compare it with changes in positioning and the price response.

How does Draconic classify option buildup?

The source classifies each call and put side using changes in option price and open interest: long buildup, short buildup, short covering or long unwinding. Draconic groups those classifications into a rule-based positioning read. These are inferred categories, not verified identities or intentions of traders.

Why can short buildup on puts look constructive?

In this classification, falling put prices alongside rising put open interest are interpreted as put writing, a constructive positioning clue. The equivalent pattern in calls is treated as defensive. Neither establishes that support will hold or predicts the next price move.

Are the largest OI strikes support and resistance?

They identify concentrations of outstanding contracts within the displayed strike range. They are reference points to investigate, not guaranteed floors, ceilings or price targets. This snapshot does not supply a spot-price marker, so the chart does not claim to locate spot or label strikes above or below it.

Does estimated premium activity show buying pressure?

No. The source estimates premium activity from the latest option price multiplied by accumulated traded volume across its selected strikes. It is not measured trade-by-trade turnover. Each traded contract has a buyer and a seller, so this estimate shows activity, not net buying pressure.

What happens when the market is closed?

The page keeps the last available snapshot and shows its source time. Check that timestamp and the contract expiry before using the read. This is a snapshot, not a streaming quote feed.

Which contract and session does this Sensex snapshot represent?

Sensex options trade on BSE. Use the contract expiry and source timestamp displayed above to identify this snapshot; do not assume that another exchange's session or expiry calendar applies. The page does not display auction imbalance, indicative auction prices or official settlement values.

What supports or challenges the positioning read?

Each classified call or put side counts once. The constructive and defensive groups are rule-based, not probabilities or volume-weighted scores. A price move that fails to confirm the positioning, or a shift in the next options snapshot, can challenge the read. Check price structure and market participation before drawing a directional conclusion.

Is this the full Draconic analysis?

No. This free tool is a rule-based read of options positioning. The full Draconic experience connects it with price structure, momentum and other available market evidence. Creating an account lets you ask a follow-up; the page itself does not consume an analysis credit.
